Day 240


I'm happy with this school poster from early 1900. It is in a fragile condition. I will hang it in our bedroom. 
I especially like it of the lady who is sewing/mending. 
Ahhh needle work, those days every woman had her sewing skills. 
Unfortunately these skills are disappearing these days.

Oh, wat is dit mooi. Dit zijn spulletjes waar ik altijd naar op zoek ben maar die ik nog nooit ben tegengekomen. Ik vind de kleuren zo prachtig! En nu dacht ik bijna dat ik hexagonen gespot had!

Oh, I love these!! My love for history started when I was 8, 9 or 10 years old and these came into the classroom to teach us about the Romans, the Middle Ages etc. Yours has a totally different subject and is definitely much older, but I think our kids are really missing out on something really beautiful with all those smart boards and internet in the classrooms now...
