Day 234

Today I was dealing with the thoughts of blogging. Should I go on or should I quit.
Is it good to show a little glimpse of my life on the world wide web??? I think every blogger deal with these thoughts so now and then....

Groetjes,

Jeanneke.

No!!! You mustn't stop. My days will never be the same without your beautiful photos and inspirational handwork.

Whatever your decision, I want you to know that I have enjoyed both of your blogs. I will never be able to travel to Europe again, so one of the ways I try and keep my travel eye open is to look at the world through your lovely blogs. I am also a quilter, so it's a twofer for me! Thank you for all the work you have put into your blogging, and your generosity in sharing these snippets of your life. Whatever your decision, I wish you all the best.

I agree with you Lucy. I am taking a break now as I was very concerned what the stats show re how many people view the blog but rarely a comment. I got some nasty comments last week which I deleted but it scared me so I am taking a break. I prefer Instagram as we have our profiles private. Whatever you choose to do I will forever be grateful for your kindness and inspiration. Your quilts are in my heart. Take care, Ann x

Hi Lucy
I soooo look forward to your daily photo and your blog but I do understand what a huge commitment it is. It has been lovely of you to share your life and your beautiful stitching with the rest of the world.
Thank you.

I, too, have wondered about blogging, but one of my concerns is time and whether or not anyone really reads them or not! I think my life is pretty cool, but...

I love your blogs!

Love,

Doniene

I would miss you wonderful images and your keen eye for design and beauty. That being said I know the huge time commitment to create such lovely images and words. I have taken an unintended break for the past nine months, going on ten. Often lots of readers stop by but no comments - I am often guilty of that. I like the spontaneity of Instagram and the ability to easily "like" a post and to comment. That is where I have been posting instead. Unfortunately many people have not adopted this new platform. And Instagram really is more Smartphone oriented ... Very clunky on the computer, so I know I would loose followers if I switched totally. I am grateful that you started your blog originally and that through it, Gwen, and Nancy's tulip quilt we got to meet. Thank you for sharing your work and life with us.

Your blog is truly one of my happy places. You are an inspiration to me with your beautiful photography of a country I was blessed to visit for 2 months in 1982 (would love to go back) and your beautiful quilting and knitting. Of course I hope you stick with it for purely selfish reasons, but I understand if you need a break.

No time to blog or read blogs these days but I LOVE stopping by from time to time.... reading your blog or looking at your photos. I had the same feeling a while ago but have finally decided on keeping my blog and posting just when I feel like it. I have met so many wondeful people thanks to the blog ;-) I hope you will keep yours :-)
